Howard Harrison and Gabrielle Snyder Beck Professor of Sociology at Princeton University (United States).
His research focuses on the factors shaping the educational and occupational development of the children of U.S. immigrants, the transnational organizations created by immigrants and their impact on the country of origin and economic sociology.
A member of the editorial board of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences between 2005 and 2009, he currently serves on the board of American Sociological Review.
