BIO
Currently emeritus Professor of Music Theory at Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts (Austria). His areas of research interest are primarily music theory and musicology, focusing on the music of the 9th to the 21st centuries, and compositions for chamber music and orchestra. Before joining the University of Music and Performing Arts, he was Professor of Music Theory at the Folkwang University for Music, Theater, Dance, Design and Academic Studies (Germany).
