Professor of Composition at Milán Conservatory and Artistic Director of music publisher Rugginenti, his first opera Boine premiered in 1983.
Since then, his works have been programmed at leading festivals in Italy and abroad including Nuova Consonanza and Nuovi Spazi Sonori in Rome, Cantiere Internazionale in Montepulciano, Antidogma Musica in Turin, and the festivals of Imperia, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles and Salzburg, among others.
President of Studio ES in Milan, he has been distinguished with numerous composition prizes.
