Professor of Evolutionary Ecology in the Institute of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies at the University of Zurich (Switzerland).
Her research focuses on the evolutionary ecology of sexual and asexual reproduction, analysis and management of animal populations, the evolution of reproductive and social strategies and sustainability science.
A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, she has been distinguished with the Per Brinck Oikos Award and the Founder’s Prize of the British Ecological Society.
