BIO
One of Germany’s most internationally renowned composers, he studied composition, musical theory and counterpoint with Johann Nepomuk David and piano with Jürgen Unhde at the Stuttgart Conservatory. A disciple of Luigi Nono, he has received numerous prizes including the Ernst von Siemens Musikpreis and the Arts Prize of the Berlin Academy of Arts. He is also on the teaching staff of the Hannover Conservatory.
