George A. Peterkin Professor of Economic Theory at Rice University (Houston, United States). He is currently researching into resource allocation mechanisms, particularly the interface between the incentive properties of those mechanisms and their normative properties of equity and eficiency. Past president of the Society for Social Choice and Welfare, he is Associate Editor of Games and Economic Behavior, International Journal of Game Theory, and Mathematics of Operations Research, and a Fellow of the Econometric Society.
