Composer and conductor. He has been guest conductor with numerous ensembles and symphony orchestras, including Collegium Novum, Ensemble Recherche and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and has written pieces on commission for formations like the Südwestrundfunk and Berlin symphony orchestras. His works include Wind Stille Zeit, for chorus, ensemble and electronics; Vier Toteninsein, for baritone and orchestra; and the opera Inferno. On the teaching side, he has given classes on ensemble conducting, and as part of the Darmstadt Summer Courses.
