She has worked for the organization since 1990, during which time she has taken part in special missions with the UN Human Rights Center and at UNHCR’s offices in Hong Kong (China) and Geneva (Switzerland). A member of the editorial board responsible for the United Nations Study on the Impact of Armed Conflict on Children headed by Graca Machel and released in 1996, she has also published extensively in international journals with a social action focus.
