Director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación and a professor at BarcelonaTech (UPC), in Spain. His research encompasses the design and organization of advanced vector and superscalar processors, among other topics. Author of over 700 published papers, he holds the Eckert-Mauchly Award, a leading international honor in computer architecture, and the 2015 Seymour Cray Award, the most prestigious worldwide in high-performance computing. Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
