Mauricio Suárez is Professor in Logic and Philosophy of Science at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an Honorary Research Associate in the Department for Science and Technology Studies, University College London, and a Research Associate at the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science of the London School of Economics, both in the United Kingdom. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at London University, where he ran a project titled “Probabilities, Propensities and Conditionals.” Holder of a BSc in Astrophysics, he would eventually specialize in the history and philosophy of science and the philosophy of probability. His areas of research include models and scientific representation, the philosophy of quantum physics, the philosophy of causality, and aesthetics and its role in scientific methodology.
