This musician and musicologist founded Contrechamps in 1977, remaining at its head until 2005, followed by Ensemble Contrechamps (1980), Revue Contrechamps (1983) and Editions Contrechamps (1991), which he continues to run today. From 1984 to 1998, he was coordinator of Salle Patino in Geneva, where he also created the Archipel Festival in 1992. Artistic advisor to the Festival d’Automne à Paris over several editions, he currently teaches analysis and music history at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva and Lausanne.
