Professor and Head of the BA in Music Program at Zurich University of the Arts (Switzerland), and past director and artistic director at Konservatorium Wien University. His research topics include ability and aptitude as related to achievement in the arts, Brahms and his influence on early 20th-century Viennese music, and the symphonic music of Mahler in contemporary version for piano duo. Formerly director of the City of Vienna Music Education Institutions, and chair of the Austrian Conference of Music Schools.
