BIO
Studied musicology at the University of Munich, where he concluded his degree with a research dissertation on Hans Werner Hanze. He was subsequently employed in Bavarian public radio and since 1996 has been working as a music critic for daily newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. He has been responsible for classical music reporting for this same newspaper since 2001, in which time he has led the news coverage of most of the world’s leading music festivals and events.
