Research Professor at the Institute of Geography, Economics and Demography of the center for Human and Social Sciences, CSIC (Spain). Her areas of research interest are the food and beverages industry, agribusiness, multinationals, networks of firms and innovation. She has acted as consultant for the United Nations Center on Transnational Corporations, the FAO and the OECD. A former guest editor of the Journal of Biotechnology, she sits on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management.
