Professor of Meteorology in the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain), where he researches into the meteorology and climate of the western Mediterranean and the impacts of climate change. His other areas of work include the qualitative assessment of higher education teachers and researchers. President of the National Committee for the Assessment and Accreditation of University Science Teachers of the Spanish Quality Assessment and Accreditation Agency, he has also served as a reviewer on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
