Eugene Higgins Professor of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University (United States), where he teaches and conducts research on information theory in the Information Sciences and Systems Group. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, as well as a doctorate honoris causa from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). Editor of the journal Foundations and Trends in Communications and Information Theory.
