Holder of a PhD in Psychometrics from Fordham University in New York City and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in psychology from Loyola College, Maryland, Stephen G. Sireci is currently Professor of Psychometrics and Executive Director of the Center for Educational Assessment at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (United States). His research interest lies principally in educational test development and evaluation, particularly issues of validity, cross-lingual assessment, standard setting, and computer-based testing. He is a Fellow of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), as well as of Division 5: Quantitative and Qualitative Methods of the American Psychological Association (APA). He has also served as coeditor of the International Journal of Testing and Journal of Applied Testing Technology, as President of the Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA) and on the Board of Directors of the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME).
