Kuwait Professor of Economics and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a director of the Suntory and Toyota International Centers for Economics and Related Disciplines, a research and funding organization belonging to the LSE. A specialist in public economy, political economy and development economics, he is also an external member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee.
