Music producer, reporter and blogger for NPR Music. He contributes stories about classical music to NPR news programs, hosts the network’s classical music blog Deceptive Cadence, and is a music critic on the afternoon program All Things Considered. He also supervises NPR’s general classical music coverage. He spent seven years as producer, writer and editor for the Peabody Award-winning classical music show Performance Today and for programs SymphonyCast and World of Opera. Huizenga has reviewed concerts and recordings for the The Washington Post since 2002.
