Víctor García de Gomar is Artistic Director of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, a post he held previously in the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Auditori de Girona. He completed higher education studies in vocal performance (baritone) and piano, as well as studying law at Pompeu Fabra University and obtaining postgraduate qualifications in institutional, corporate and cultural platform administration and management from Pompeu Fabra, IESE and, in the United States, Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School. He has worked with such renowned artists as John Eliot Gardiner, Cecilia Bartoli, Gustavo Dudamel, Juan Diego Flórez, Piotr Beczala, Philip Glass and John Adams. A former director of the Nits de Clàssica Festival and the Seville Baroque Orchestra, he has taught at various Catalonian universities, contributed a weekly program to radio broadcaster Catalunya Música, and written a book on musicians and their favorite recordings.
