His research interests lie in regional ecological risk assessment of emerging pollutants, urban and regional ecology, and environmental management and policy.
Editor-in-Chief of Ecosystem Health and Sustainability and Associate Editor of Science Advances and Environmental Development, his honors include the SCOPE Distinguished Achievement Award.
